Classic childhood tales & fables allow us to practice French with stories that we grew up with, often that were translated to English from… French! And poetry often offers the opportunity to focus on particular grammar structures.
In this 7-week course we will explore new vocabulary, expressions and grammar together, as we read classic works. We will also delve into historical contexts and have discussions on the literary pieces we read, as well as learn a bit about the authors.
We will focus on works by poet Jacques Prévert, and classic story tellers Charles Perrault, Jean de la Fontaine, and Jeanne-Marie LePrince de Beaumont, at a level of A2+.
