Thanks to the overwhelming success of the Fall 2025 session, the Alliance Française du Maine is delighted to again offer a “Classe pour Enfants”, a six-week French class designed especially for young learners. Taught by Jamie Burgess, respected French teacher at the Freeport Waldorf School and valued AFDUME teacher, the class introduces children to the French language through games, stories, and songs — creating a fun and engaging environment where kids can learn their first French words or build on what they already know.
Research shows that the earlier children begin studying a foreign language, the easier it is for them to absorb it. With this program, AFDUME is proud to give children in our community the gift of language — opening doors to new cultures, new ways of thinking, and lifelong learning.
