Le Mois de la Francophonie 2026
Programme de L'Alliance Française du Maine

Each March, le Mois de la Francophonie offers an opportunity to celebrate the richness, diversity, and vitality of French language and cultures around the world. Far from being limited to one country or region, this international event reflects a global network of voices, histories, and creative expressions that continue to shape contemporary life in meaningful ways.
Throughout the month, our programming highlights the many dimensions of francophone culture—literature, film, history, music, and lived experience—while also honoring the deep roots of French in Maine and across North America. We hope that these events invite you to explore how the French language connects communities across borders, generations, and disciplines, and how it continues to evolve in response to new cultural and social contexts.
Le Mois de la Francophonie is both a celebration and an invitation: to listen, to learn, to engage, and to share. Whether you are a fluent speaker, a language learner, or simply curious, these programs are designed to foster connection, spark conversation, and affirm the enduring relevance of francophone culture today.
