The renowned Maine author Denis Ledoux joins us for a literary panel discussing his latest book “Here to Stay: Lives in 17th Century Canada” which recounts the lives of Denis’ earliest North American ancestors who left France to settle in New France, Canada in the 17th century. Denis reconstructs the daily lives of his French family in exquisite detail, the result of prodigious historical research. We are thrilled to speak to him and learn more about Barthélemy Verreault, Marthe Quittel, Louis Ledoux and Marie Valiquet.
