Sandrine is a French native from Marseille where she lived for 25 years and where she completed a bachelor’s in French Linguistics and a bachelor’s in teaching FLE. She worked in Tunisia for 2 years via the “Cooperation program” where she taught 1st and 2nd grade in a French elementary school. After returning to Marseille in 1997, she worked for a few months at a private institute to teach French to adult foreigners. It is where she met her American husband and shortly after moved to Portland, Maine where she still resides. After a 2-year stint at Bonny Eagle HS in Buxton ME as a French teacher, she discovered Catholic Charities and the world of interpreting and translating. She loves meeting and helping Francophone new Mainers and teaching French. Sandrine loves anything arts and crafts, especially fibers, and offers craft classes in English and in French. Sandrine loves the infinite possibilities that teaching allows with projects and themes as well as the social interactions.
In her free time, she knits, does yoga, reads, meets with friends and enjoys the company of her husband, 18-year-old daughter and their little dog, Norma.
